Take It to the Next Level (image: ms. donnalee / donna cleveland)
To take it to the next level means to dramatically improve a product or service that is currently successful in the marketplace. For example, imagine the Apple developer pitching the iPhone. “Team, we have found tremendous success with the iPod and have changed the way people interact with music. Now it’s time to take it to the next level. We’re going to change the way people interact with their mobile phones. Introducing the iPhone.”
Note: this is an incredibly popular buzzword in the US right now, and you will most likely hear it often throughout your MBA in the USA.
