Valentine’s Day is Saturday, February 14th, and National Retail Federation CEO and President, Tracy Mullin, said it best, “A bad economy won’t stop Cupid this Valentine’s Day, but it might slow him down. This year more than ever, consumers will look for creative and inexpensive ways to show those they love how much they mean to them.”

Valentine’s Day spending in the US is expected to be $14.7 billion in 2009, down -13.6% vs. 2008, according to the NRF survey.
