As in, “Let’s meet around 3ish.”

“Ish” time emerged to protect people from feeling guilty about being late for an appointment, meeting or date. Normally, “ish” provides a cushion of 10 to 15 minutes after the scheduled arrival time, but someone could use it as an excuse for up to half an hour.
