Words of the Week – low hanging fruit

Low hanging fruit is a term for easily achievable goals. New managers will often identify low hanging fruit and go after it to demonstrate quick results before tackling longer term strategic projects.

For example, when a Product Director picks up a new brand, they may introduce a line extension of an existing, highly successful product to increase revenues quickly while they analyze the whitespace opportunities to drive dramatic growth.
